Pulsefield (Terry Riley)
Another co-creation from the The Holy Liftoff musical folio for flexible instrumentation and for musicians with various levels of experience. The score of the realization mixes passages that are fully written out, partially notated, and open to free improvisation, and it includes parts of the drawing itself.
First performed in September 2024 at the Juilliard Fall Festival in a version for 17 musicians, led by Claire Chase, Nadia Sirota, and Pablo Rieppi.
