Double Janus puts a version of the symmetrical piece Janus in canon with itself, turning the bare intervals of the original into a constantly shifting harmony.

In the version for eight flutes, the intertwining lines of the original have been fragmented as though sent through a prism, their motifs echoing throughout the octet.

The players are arranged symmetrically on stage or throughout the performance space.
